Laser & Flame Hybrid for ≥40mm Medium-thick Carbon Steel Full-size Plate
This hybrid cutting mode covers the shortage of laser cutting that is unable to cut ultra-thick plate well but needs high operating costs, and the deficiency of flame cutting like slow cutting speed of medium-thin plate, piercing inability and low degree of automation. So, it can support heavy equipment manufacturing, shipyard, power tower, etc.
Laser Power
20kW
Plate Thickness
1-200mm
Working Area
12000*3000mm
Bevel Cutting
±45°
Major in Piercing Thick Plate
It can do without preheating or bench drilling. As a result, piercing speed is raised by over 5 times, with ≤15s piercing time for 200mm ultra-thick plate. The min. pore diameter can account for one quarter of plate thickness. Automatic deslagging after piercing ensures no slag residue, improving surface finish and reducing secondary grinding.
High-end Cutting Head for ±45° Bevel in Multiple Shapes
The high-power laser cutting head, together with 3D five-axis bus-based control system, can break through the tradition to enable ±45° beveling in V, X, Y and K shapes.
Anti-burning Graphite Plates for Longer Machine Life
The bed is covered with anti-burning graphite plates that resist high temperature and molten slags, and block laser penetration. This will safeguard the platform and bed from damage, significantly extending the machine’s lifespan.
Fast Fume Exhaust by Following Blow-suction Mode
Blowing fans fixed on gantry frame blow fume towards the opposite suction inlet. Thanks to extraction units installed along one side, suction inlets will be opened or closed based on beam position, in this way, enhancing fume exhaust efficiency.
Low Purchase Costs & Energy Consumption
This 20kW system is able to cut 200mm ultra-thick plate, a task typically requiring 80kW, reducing purchase costs by 60% and more maintenance expenses. In hybrid mode, laser output is only 4kW, so that over 35% energy will be saved and cutting costs per unit are also lowered by 40% compared to pure laser cutting.
- Automatic Ignition
- Perpendicularity Compensation
- Fast Switch Between Two Modes

Physical Engraving
Directly vaporize the material surface to form precise physical grooves, in doing so, creating truly permanent, wear-resistant deep marks.
What is laser cutter and how does it work?
A laser cutter uses laser as heat source and can be classified as sheet cutting and tube cutting. This includes sheet laser cutter, tube laser cutter and sheet & tube combo, making it one of the most advanced metal processing equipment available today.
The laser cutter utilizes the high-density laser beam to convert laser energy into thermal energy, causing localized heating, melting or even vaporization of materials. The melted or vaporized material is then blown away by using gas flow or other methods to achieve cutting.
Laser cutter can cut a wide range of materials, incl. stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, silicon steel, aluminum, aluminum alloy, galvanized sheet, aluminum-zinc plate, pickled sheet, titanium, and other metal sheets.
They can be applied in most metalworking industries, such as sheet metal working, kitchenware, aerospace, electrical cabinet, household kitchenware, automotive parts, construction and agricultural machinery, and more.
When selecting a laser cutter, we believe users should focus on 10 factors below:
* Laser power * Cutting speed * Cutting accuracy * Type of laser generator
* Degree of automation and software * Ownership costs * Material compatibility
* Technical support and service * Installation space and requirements * Environmental and safety factors
The power of a fiber laser directly impacts its cutting capabilities. Fiber lasers with different power levels are suitable for various material thicknesses and types. The following article provides an overview of the cutting capabilities for the main power ranges: Cutting Capacity and Speed of 1.5kW-80kW Fiber Lasers
Optics & Nozzles: Clean protective lenses regularly with optical cloth; replace if scratched. Inspect nozzles for debris or damage; clean with a brass brush or replace if deformed. Always wear gloves when handling lenses.
Focus & Alignment: Even with autofocus, manually verify focal point and alignment periodically to match material thickness.
Cleanliness: Empty slag trays after each shift. Wipe surfaces, vacuum metal dust, and clean rails/guideways to prevent dust buildup.
Gas & Air Systems: Ensure adequate assist gas supply. Replace air filters, drain moisture from tanks, and check dryers and pipelines for damage or blockages.
Safety Devices: Regularly test emergency stops, door interlocks, light curtains, and enclosures.
Parameter Backup: Back up machine settings and cutting parameters weekly to prevent data loss.
Lubrication: Check oil levels, add standard lubricant as needed, inspect oil circuits, and clean dust from moving parts.
Consumables: Replace nozzles, ceramic rings, and protective lenses in time based on usage to avoid unplanned downtime.
Coolant: Use pure, distilled, or deionized water; add antifreeze below 0°C. Replace coolant periodically.
Electrical System: Only certified electricians should inspect breakers, connections, and wiring.
Maintenance Log: Record materials, settings, and issues to track performance and spot problems early.
Laser cutting replaces traditional mechanical blades with an invisible beam of laser, offering high precision, fast cutting, no limitation on cutting patterns, automatic nesting to save materials, smooth cut edges and low operating costs. It is gradually improving or replacing traditional metal cutting processes.
* The mechanical parts of laser cutting head don’t contact workpiece, preventing surface scratches during operation.
* Laser cutting is fast, with smooth and flat edges that typically require no further processing.
* The heat-affected zone is small, resulting in minimal deformation of sheet and narrow cutting seams (0.1-0.3mm).
* Cuts have no mechanical stress nor shear burrs.
* High cutting precision and good repeatability without damaging the material surface.
* CNC programming allows for the processing of any flat pattern and the cutting of large entire sheet without the need for molds, saving both time and costs.
The complete machine is under 2-year warranty. Its main accessories and consumables will be replaced depending on their specific service life. We also provide original accessories for global users, with quotes available within 24h and delivery within 3-7 working days. The change of these accessories will be given priority to our nearby subsidiaries or local service centers.
Yes. Our machines are usually equipped with advanced CNC systems that use capacitance centering to measure tube’s actual size and automatically calibrate to align the tube profile with its model. It also features real-time compensation for tube deviation, reducing requirements for tube clamping and improving the tube piercing accuracy.
